Center for Intergenerational Integration in Buk
Center for Intergenerational Integration in Buk. For many years, the city of Buk has been trying to ensure that its residents could use all social and educational institutions to work on social relations. One of the elements of these efforts was the planned reconstruction, expansion and superstructure, as well as changing the use of the production facility into a social facility. The aim of the investment is to create a place that improves and strengthens intergenerational integration in the city and commune. The planned revitalization of the post-production area focused on maximizing the potential of the existing area and implementing the assumption consistent with sustainable development by opening individual facilities to one common green space. The aim of the project is to give the revitalized area a socio-educational character in this part of the city.
The project assumes the principle of open internal spaces, in which users can adapt them to their requirements each time, depending on their needs. Spaces with access to natural light are intended for workshops, integration, meetings, offices and a conference room that can be divided into two smaller rooms. Zones that do not require daylight lighting are intended for temporary presentations, warehouses and technical rooms. The program also includes appropriate catering facilities, locker rooms and sanitary facilities, as well as places to store items used in classes. The entrance zone was deliberately not specified, each of the facades may be an exit/entrance to the facility at any time. In front of the building, a promenade has been designed, a pedestrian passage where integration events and activities can be held.
